Reflection on the Society of Illustrators

The art piece I really admire from the Society of Ilustrations is the sketch of Ankou, it show's how the character looks; Ankou is seen with a bat-like helmet or hat with wings that stick up. The sketch is well executed because  there's lights and dark's. You also see where the dark's should be, and where the lights should be as well. For example under the chin of Ankou you see the shadows nicely placed causing a nice tone and doesn't look like Ankou is filled with nothing but dark tones. The tones are balanced and symmetrical, causing nice contrast.
